Energylandia

Distance: 30,2km

Energylandia is the largest amusement park in Poland, which provides unforgettable experiences for entire families. Located in Zator, the park offers a wide range of attractions for all age groups. From exciting roller coasters to fairy-tale carousels, there is something for everyone. For the brave ones, there is the highest and longest hypercoaster in Europe - Hyperion, Zadra - the world's longest wooden roller coaster, and plenty of other attractions that will provide a dose of adrenaline and unforgettable emotions. Special thematic zones, full of colorful and safe toys, have been prepared for the youngest guests. The park also has swimming pools and water slides, which are perfect for summer days.

MINIATURE PARK IN ŻYWIEC

Distance: 18,1km

The Miniature Park in Żywiec was prepared in 2011 as part of the project "From the Komorowskis to the Habsburgs - creation of a historical theme park in Żywiec". It has a unique location - it was built on the premises of the City Museum - Old Castle, at Zamkowa Street.

The exhibitions were located on the ground floor of the Habsburg Palace and outside, in the charming Żywiec park. In the rooms of the restored, classicist New Palace we can see, among others: with the customs of the court life of the subsequent owners of the city (e.g. scenes of feasting, music-making, hunting), with traditional city customs (e.g. clothes, everyday items) and with important historical events from that period (e.g. scenes from the stay of King John Casimir in Żywiec or the Queen of Spain). The external exhibition is located around the palace - it covers an area of two ares. There are 23 miniatures of buildings erected here in various regions (including the Żywiec region, Cieszyn Silesia and the Mały Beskid Mountains) by successive families ruling in Żywiec. We can admire various objects here, made on a scale of 1:15 or 1:33. There are manors and castles here (e.g. the Żywiec manor complex, the Habsburg palace from Cieszyn, the castle from Sucha Beskidzka, the palace and park complex from Rajcza, the noble manor from Zembrzyce, the palace from Bestwina, the hunting lodge from Wisła); there are sacred buildings (e.g. a wooden chapel from Wisła, the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary from Sucha Beskidzka) and other historical objects (e.g. the forest district building in Przyborów, a hunting villa from Wisła, a forester's lodge from Złatna). The miniatures are described on boards and surrounded by specially planned plants. At the entrance to the Park, four figures were placed, representing townspeople and highlanders from the Żywiec region.

TANK ON THE TOP OF THE EMBER

Distance: 22,5km

The reservoir on Góra Żar, which is part of the power plant complex, serves as the upper reservoir, while the lower reservoir is Lake Międzybrodzkie. The operation of a pumped-storage power plant consists in pumping water from the lower reservoir to the upper one during the period when energy production exceeds the demand for it (e.g. at night). Then, during peak hours, the process is reversed. These types of power plants are large batteries with huge capacity. Their advantage is the ability to quickly start up - if necessary, produce electricity. Together with the power plant, an asphalt road leading to Żary was opened.

The local attractions that Góra Żar can boast of include a rope park near the lower station of the cable car. There are also several dining options here. Góra Żar is a unique place from which you can admire the panorama of the Beskid Mały Mountains and the lakes in the Soła River gorge. At the foot of the mountain, a glider airport was established in 1935, where a glider school also operates today. Żar also attracts paragliding enthusiasts. The mountain is also a place visited by backpackers. A red marked trail passes through here called the Little Beskid Trail. Before we can reach Mount Żar from the town of Żarnówka Mała, located on Lake Międzybrodzkie. The exit takes less than 2 hours. A three-hour hike along the next part of the trail will take us through a nice mountain range to the Kocierska Pass (718 m); along the way, the Kocierz peak (879) with a forest nature reserve

It is also a popular place among paragliders and mountain bikers. Three routes for intermediate mountain bikers start at the top of the mountain.

MIĘDZYBRODZKIE LAKE

Distance: 21,5km

Lake Międzybrodzkie, also called the Międzybrodz Water Reservoir, is an artificial lake on the Soła River, created by damming water by the dam in Porąbka. The reservoir was built in 1937. The purpose of its construction was flood protection, later the lake also began to play a recreational role, and after the construction of the power plant, the power of water is used to produce energy. The area around the lake is the starting point of interesting trails leading to the surrounding peaks of the Beskid Mały Mountains.

Mountain trails

Several interesting mountain hiking trails pass through the area of Lake Międzybrodzkie. From Międzybrodzie Bialskie you can go, among others: to Czupel (933 m above sea level), the highest peak of the Beskid Mały (red trail, then blue - the route is quite steep), from where you can continue the hike (blue trail) to the shelter on Magurka Wilkowicka (909 m). The exit to Czupel takes less than 2 hours, the walk from Czupel to Magurka takes just over half an hour. Other tourist trails from Lake Międzybrodzkie reach the Hrobacza Łąka massif (828 m), Żary (761 m), the Kocierz range (879 m) and the Gaiki region (808 m).

Zatorland

The largest moving dinosaur park in Europe

Zatorland is a fascinating place for the whole family, offering unforgettable attractions and educational experiences. You will discover a fascinating world of prehistoric reptiles, including huge replicas of dinosaurs that will delight both small and large explorers. Visitors can also visit: the Insect Park, the Mythology Park and the amusement park. This is definitely a full day trip.

EMBER MOUNTAIN

Góra Żar is a unique place from which you can admire the panorama of the Beskid Mały Mountains and the lakes in the Soła River gorge. At the foot of the mountain, a glider airport was established in 1935, where a glider school also operates today. Żar also attracts paragliding enthusiasts.

It's time to go upstairs
You can get to the mountain via the funicular railway opened in 2004. The railway is fast and spacious - it transports 1200 people per hour. You can also take a bicycle on board. This facility is often used by mountain bikers.

STANITCA HUCUL

Stanica Hucuł is a unique place because it is born out of passion. They will be appreciated not only by horse lovers, but also by people looking for a break from the noisy and gray everyday life. The picturesque areas of the Beskid Mały Mountains, where our guesthouse is located, encourage active recreation, but also blissful relaxation in the bosom of nature. We guarantee that every visitor will find something for themselves. In the Stanica area there is a playground for children, an open-air museum of agricultural machinery, a place for a bonfire and a picnic. You can also shoot a bow and throw darts at the target. Badminton balls and rackets are available for children. We also provide free access to a games room with board games and a library. For those interested, we organize horse rides with an instructor. Children can improve their riding skills here or take advantage of the riding school here and try horse riding from scratch.

CASTLE OF THE SUŁKO PRICES

The castle rising in the center of Bielsko-Biała is the oldest and largest historic building in the historic city of Bielsko. According to legend, in its place there was once a town of robbers who attacked traveling merchants. Prince Casimir of Opole (†1229/30) was to capture this fortality and exterminate the robbers, and in this place built a hunting manor, which over time was expanded into a magnificent castle, with a town nearby.

DINOLAND
In Dinolandia you can easily travel to the Mesozoic era. There is an impressive collection of carnivorous and herbivorous dinosaurs. You can see Tyrannosaurus Rex, Compsognathus, and Mamenchisaurus up close. Amazing reptiles are just part of the attractions of Dinolandia. Everyone will find something for themselves here - resting in the shade of reed umbrellas, playing mini golf or wandering through the winding corridors of the Cave of Secrets.

FAIRY-TAILE FORTRESS
In Inwałd, on a rocky hill, surrounded by wooden logs, a medieval stronghold was built, covering an area of 2,5 thousand square meters. m2. Crossing its doors, you will go back to medieval times. A rocky road leads to the courtyard of a medieval stronghold, which hides extraordinary places - a medieval settlement, an armory, a torture chamber and the Park of Moving Dragons.

PONY MINI ZOO
The Family Parks at the Mini ZOO "KUCYK" are located on picturesque hills at the foot of the Beskid Mały Mountains, surrounded on all sides by groves and a river. You can see more or less known animal species here - bennett kangaroos, zebu, wild boars, chinchillas, raccoons, ostriches, emus and crowned cranes. There is also our Happy Donkey, who can make everyone laugh with his laugh.

Forest Park of Surprises in Ustroń

Forest Park of Surprises - a zoo founded in 2002 in Ustroń, in the Silesian Beskids, located on the slope of Równica. On the walking paths we can meet deer, roe deer, wild boars, mouflons and even bisons. They are a great attraction a falconry and an owlery, where flight shows of these beautiful birds take place.

One of the most interesting attractions of the park are mouflons and fallow deer, which roam freely among visitors and can be hand-fed. In the pens we will see: bisons, red deer, roe deer, wild boars, wildcats and raccoon dogs. Without a doubt, the biggest attractions of the park are the falconry and the owlery, where, at designated times, qualified falconers present birds of prey and owls during their flights (see falconry, owlery).

The park is education and recreation. One of the paths is equipped with educational and illustrative boards on fauna and flora, at the end of which there is a Nature and Forest Center with exhibits and multimedia equipment. The recreational part includes a fairy tale alley with moving exhibitions of well-known fairy tales and an extensive playground. Guests of the Forest Park of Surprises can use the parking lot, toilet and all attractions in the park free of charge. Viewing spots give you the opportunity to relax and admire the Silesian Beskids.
